‘Temprana’ is the Spanish word for early - rather fitting for a grape that ripens a little bit earlier than most. Its thick skin lends it a bright and vibrant red colour that matches the abundant red fruit which explodes from the glass just as you’ll find in this wonderful example. Tempranillo lends itself to food matching so well as it is so very versatile.
